3 Days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga - 3 Days

Your tour starts at 8:00 am with a pickup from your riad or hotel. Departure to Ouarzazate, the doorway of the desert through the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka pass where you will enjoy some nice views, beautifull landscapes and Berber villages. We will make a stop in the universal Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah as it has been named by UNESCO in 1987. An old village that has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films including “Gladiator”, “Indiana Jones” and “Lawrence of Arabia”. Enjoy a walk to explore the traditional Moroccan style of architecture in which the Kasbahs are built. Then off to Ouarzazate for Dinner and stay overnight in hotel.

After having breakfast you will head Todra Gorges, a 300m high canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinghir where you can do some hiking, then it’s off to the main Saharan town, Rissani, where a 4×4 will be waiting to take you deeper into the desert. Then ride across the rocky plateaus of the black Desert Hamada until the Erg Chebbi dunes appear out of nowhere. Then enjoy a camel ride for an hour and half into the desert at the sunset to reach our private camp surrounded by towering sand dunes. Relax, listen to some traditional Berber music, and watch the moon and the stars in the amazing Sahara. Diner and stay overnight in Merzouga desert camp.

Wake up to a breathtaking sunrise over the dunes and ride your camel back to the hotel where you will have breakfast. Then drive to the main saharian town Rissani, located across the rocky plateaus of the black Desert Hamada. Then you will arrive in Skoura, a fertile oasis lined with immense palm groves that provide great views of the Atlas Mountains. Afterwards, visit another kasbah of Taourirt. It is one of the most attractive and beautiful sites in southern Morocco, and is considered a UNESCO world heritage site. Go for a walk and explore the kasbah, which was built in the traditional Moroccan-style of architecture.You’ll continue on the way to Marrakesh and you will be dropped off in Marrakech at the new Medina center.
